Freedom Indiana announces statewide community meetings to build support for update to Indiana civil rights law

INDIANAPOLIS – Freedom Indiana, the statewide grassroots organization fighting to update existing Indiana laws against discrimination to include gay and transgender Hoosiers, today announced a series of community meetings that will take place across Indiana over the next month.

The meetings are intended to educate local residents about the need to update our law to include gay and transgender people and to generate support for that effort at the Statehouse.

Freedom Indiana is scheduling additional meetings to be announced soon in other cities. Media are invited to attend the meetings but are asked to respect the privacy of those who do not wish to be interviewed, photographed or filmed.
